The Studio

My three Hot Shot kilns.

Every piece on this site comes out of one of three Hot Shot kilns in my home studio. They are the collaborators behind the work, and they're the kilns I recommend without hesitation to anyone setting up a glass studio.

What I use and why.

Vitrograph

G-7 with vitri-lift

My vitrograph kiln. Pulling glass into stringers, ribbons, and other shapes is a huge part of what I do, and the vitri-lift makes the vitrograph work practical for one person in a home studio.

Large 110V

G-16

One of the largest 110-volt kilns on the market. It plugs into a normal household outlet, which makes it possible to run a serious-size kiln from a home studio without rewiring.

24 inches

G-24

A full 24 inches of usable space inside. This is the kiln behind the larger panels in the gallery.
